Piemonte is a region (northwest) in Italy. Alba and Asti are different places in Piemonte and yes, different styles; I prefer Alba for its tamed acidity.

Looks like Pietro is the producer of your wine.

Since you have a Barbera without a designated town on the label, you have a Piemontese wine produced from grapes that were grown in Piemonte but likely not in Alba or Asti, or if so, they were blended from grapes produced in more than one place.

I am particularly interested if you can find on the label anything that speaks to Geografica Tipica or an IGT designation.
