Skinny,

I've found several fabulous Chiantis for small bux lately, the best of the bunch being a wonderful, juicy little thing called Velo - just a Chianti, not a Classico. Fattoria di Petroio has been great several vintages and most of the Italian restaurants in Seattle, including my own, pour the cheapest bottle you can possibly buy, the Caravaggio Chianti, and I've heard nothing but good remarks about it. It's not complex or refined but it's a great little food wine and stands up to spicy sauces just fine.

There are more but I'll save that for later, as I'm MOVING and about to, as my granddad used to say, "Snatch myself bald and crawl in a hole".
