2001 Casanova Di Neri Tenuta Nouva

Dinner with clients in Denver. This was one of a few wines ordered (the others included an 06 Fini Souva and a 2005 La Spinetta Barbera D'Asti).

Very dark color in color with no hint of aging. Very fresh young wine still with still substantial tannins. Very intense and involving nose with a lot of cinnamon, coco, dense dark fruits, sandal wood and oak. The wine is definitely full bodied and has a very clean, smooth mouthfeel. Very nice bottle but we killed a young one.
