If by "investing" you mean earning money on laying down wines--forget it. Investing in wine for great profits is a myth perpetrated by the annual auctions and the xxxxxs who do not value wine for its true purpose: to have each day with dinner or friends.

If by "investing" you mean that you wish to buy wines to explore the sentiment I express in my last sentence, then a few good wine books, a lot of tasting experiences and some smart buying will give you years of pleasure and fun.
