82' was a very good year for Barbaresco, and as long as it was stored properly prior to your purchase, you should have a very nice experience awaiting you. I have a 90' Barolo Riserva from the same producer as your Barbaresco, and I have been told it is very good. I will probably let mine age for some time still. As far as yours, it is most definately ready to drink. I would think you should be safe storing it longer if you chose to, but I am always concerned with Barolo's, Barbaresco's, and Brunello's, that they will lose their fruit the longer you keep them. Hope this helps.
