You could ask 1000 different wine-lovers that question and get 1000 different answers. Even if you could extract meaningful data out of the cacophony, not being famaliar with wines you could have the devil of a time tracking down any one particular bottle.

My advice: find an upscale wine store near you, NOT a liquor-store-that-also-sells-wine. Chat up the salespeople there, and if they seem knowledgeable, have them make some suggestions. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you spend your 250 dollars.
