Hmmm....perhaps describing myself as a race fan is a bit strong also. I am too cool to be a true race fan. [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/biggrin.gif[/img] But I do manage to get to Bristol some years for a race with a bunch of wine loving friends...who for that weekend (to my dismay) regress to bud and miller....laugh!!
I sent Randy Cap a photo from the race last year....he said I looked like a dixie chic. I don't think it was a compliment..... [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/tongue.gif[/img]...I told him I was trying to BLEND to keep from getting thrown out! [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/smile.gif[/img]

I actually think the wine world should get into the sport....since I have been going to the races....I have seen a real change. HUGE amount of money in the sport now days and the fans are not the rednecks of yesterday but people with a fair bit of money!! ( rich rednecks?? [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/eek.gif[/img] ) There is one winery from the northeast that has had sponsorship on a car part time....I think its a great idea!!
