Patriarch is a"negotiant" wine blender--I've never tasted any of their own wines, if that is what this one is. It is likely ready to drink or even ready to enter its downward sprial.

If it's good, it's velvety and seductive, which is a mark of Volnay wines.

Open it, drink it, and determine whether or not you like it; nothing else matters.
