I couldn't believe that this was a poor vintage. This wine is wonderful. Color is still very deep garnet, nose is elegant, slightly reserved, typically seductive Vonse Romanee, some earthiness. Nice vibrant fruit still, great mouthfeel, medium body with good structure and nice complexity. I'd say it is at the top of its game right now and I'd be looking to drink sooner rather than later due to the vintage.
