Your bottle started out near the top. Provided it has had meticulous care and at least one cork change, it could still be wonderful. Chances are it is something less than that. Reasoning is that, if the above were the fact, it would have been consumed before now. Even great wines do not last forever. Would plan to open it soon, with somebody special in attendance. Have another special bottle of known quality in standby, just in case. As far as selling it is concerned, the consensus around here is that single bottles have limited resale value. The reason is that auctions prefer either larger lots or larger bottles.
