a $20-30 bordeaux to buy in paris

a friend is heading to paris for two weeks and said she'd be happy to buy me a bottle of wine over there.

i'm going to give her $20 to $30 bucks, and am wondering what level of bordeaux that would get me in paris.

i prefer cabs to merlots, and i've found that i seem to most like bordeauxs from paulliac and medoc.

any suggestions on what chateaus/labels i should tell her to look for in this price range?

she leaves wednesday morning, so i need to give her some names by tuesday P.M.
