Bucko, glad to hear you say that. I feel the same about the (modest amount of different) SJ's we drink. Hate 'em young, love 'em smoky and leathery. They don't seem to start out their lives as a drinkable, enjoyable bottle but.... if you forget about them long enough (10 or so) they make great friends. Aged, they're some of our favorite Bdxs, especially pricewise.

wow, we have a most gracious benefactor (maybe not benefactor as he charges me but who cares) who had the foresight to buy a number of cases of 95 Talbot. We have been subsisting on this (and a modest amount of food of course) for 4 years now. It is one of this Bdx-drinking family's monthly treats. There is very little I can buy for $50 that drinks like this bottle. Guests who drink Cali reds sip and say "wow" (no personal reference of course). [img]http://wines.com/ubb/smile.gif[/img]
