100% Merlot, 50 year old vines in a vineyard next to St. Emilion. Very dark/black ruby with a rustic nose of dark fruit, very ripe plums, earth and bark and no detected oak. Very ripe, mature black fruit, mushrooms, slighty tannic and chewy. A wonderful bordeaux that went well with peppercorn encrusted New York strip steaks, spuds and sauteed broccoli with olive oil. 12.5@Alc/vol - $12.
