Decided to pop one last night to accompany a 32 oz. ribeye grilled over oak with mixed veggies (lil' taters, tiny carrots, 'shrooms, onions) to celebrate our 34th anniversary. Poured the wine two hours before dinner but didn't decant. Same notes apply but it's still young; a very, very nice St Julien with a long life ahead of it.

The steak was from a pair of USDA Choice ribeyes I bought at Costco for about $26.50. Gorgeous chunks of cow! Had half of one last night, will have the second half tonight, and still have the second steak in the freezer to cook much later. Love it.
