Hello all.

Like many I am new to this board and fairly new to the world of wine. Although I have drunk wine for many years I never really liked it too much. I guess as one ages ones taste change or hopefully, refine.

My wife and I have never enjoyed chardonnay very much because it is too oakey. But we recently had a couple bottles of Cottonwood chard and found it excellent. It had what a wine advisor said was true fruit flavor rather than the buttery oak flavor that is so common in most chards we have tried.

My questions is, does anyone know any chard’s that are not oakey and are reasonably priced? The Cottonwood was about $35.00.
