Opened this up at around midnight Tuesday evening. This needed a lot of air. I didn't decant. Just opened and waited. The first taste I had, the fruit wasn't really coming out. The wine was extremely tannic. My first thought was by the time the tannic structure came around, there would be no more fruit. This one opened up nicely around 3:30am. The tannins had softened, and the fruit was shouting at me. The '94 Pecota Merlot showed better, but this wine was right behind it. This also has at least another 5, if not 10 years left in it but I didn't regret opening this. It was beautiful.

On another note the Worthy lived up to it's billing. Lucsious fruit both in the nose and palate. The Worthy is elegant in it's own way. The Truth is right behind this one. The fruit is not as "Up front" as the Worthy, but the wine is a great value. I'll be getting more of this for everyday quaffing.

Another wine we tasted that evening was the '01 Miner Family vineyards "The Oracle". I didn't take any notes on this wine and didn't spend any real time with this one because of circumstances. But what time we did spend and what I got out of what I did have, I'll be getting a couple bottles to study this beauty as well.
