Wine gift recommendation

I'm looking for a wine for a friend that just got married. A few of us would like to purchase a bottle of wine that would mature in 5 years (it will be for opening at their 5th anniversary, incentive to stay together!). Additionally, I would like it to be early 90's late 80's, cost between 100-125. I'm thinking red, French, but am not stuck on either. I'm looking for recommendations and not sure where to turn. Does anyone have any thoughts?
