I did not know that, but quite frankly, it doesn't surprise me.

Again, I still recommend supporting your local wine shop when at all possible. I've found that my local shop(s) are more than willing to offer substantial case discounts on special order items they don't need to inventory.

I bought a case of Simi 99 Alex Valley Cab (which my guy doesn't usually carry) for $15 a bottle. Costco has great deals, but there is something to be said for the supporting local businesses and the great info a quality wine purveyor can provide.
