Popped an '03 last night that we had been holding onto for a couple of years. At five years it still had sharp tannins that were gone in four with the '99. True love didn't think it had enough balance to improve with more age, but I thought it might. It also might have gone better with a steak than with the meatloaf we drank it with. Was '03 a bad year in Chile too? This wine was the only Chilian I liked; now we are back to zero.
