Welcome to the board. I don't know about the iron content of the wine, but I can suggest an Italian red sparkling wine that tastes similar to strawberries or raspberries. It's Banfi Brachetto d'Acqui, Rosa Regale and should be fairly easy to locate and not very expensive. Lambrusco is another Italian red wine that has some sweetness. Reunite is one of the most widely sold brands but there are other Lambrusco producers that make a better wine. If you know of a local winery in your home state, chances are that they make a sweet red wine also. You might also look at the home page under Frequently Asked Questions.
