Sparklers are the least understood wines, probably because most folks feel they should be brought out only for special occasions. That can't be further from the truth, as the guru points out. No other wine made is more food friendly in that it goes well with just about any dish. Good call, guru. Many people here know of Brian Loring, who's making some really fine Pinot Noir of late, and is fast becoming the darling of the wine press. Well, his drink of choice is usually a sparkler.
