WP have never taken the ride as I'm more interested in stopping at the wineries I want rather than the ones that allow the train access. If this is your first trip strongly suggest you drive as you'll be able to follow your whims and stop at wineries you want. Also as Eng pointed out it only follows a small portion of hiway 29 and there are some pretty good wineries on the Silverado Trail. Just me 02c. WW
