2011 Lapostolle Clo Apalta

Was really looking forward to this wine but this one was very different than the last one I tried (the 2001).

Definitely a great texture on the mouth, smooth but you get the sense that it was not a typical vintage, fruit seems to be from a much cooler season, good fruit but lacking some vibrancy, some energy that the other vintages I've tried had. No doubt a decent wine, just not up to the standards of the others.
