Hi Martin and welcome to the Wine Board. Verdelho is a Portugese white grape grown primarily on the island of Madeira. It is also grown in the Douro region or Portugal and in Galacia. It is also produced as a white wine in a couple of Australia's wine regions. The grape Verdelho Tinto (a dark skinned grape) is the basis of the exquisite dessert wine know as Madeira. Please let us know everything written on the label(s).
