Hi All,
My girlfriend is turning 40 next month. She is quite a wine lover. I thought that perhaps getting her a nice 40 year old bottle of wine would be a good way of saying ... see, some things, like you, get better with age!

I'm wondering if those on this bulletin board might have a suggestion or 2 first, for what type of wine I might pursue and second, how best to go about finding said wine.

I enjoy wine, but am by no means a well informed wine drinker. Any guidance you can provide would be most appreciated.

I'm hoping to get away with less than $500, so I'd also like to know if I can get anything worth drinking for that. If not, how much should I expect to pay.

Thank you all very much.

Cheers - Jon
