This was the Japanese comic book (Manga) that people have been talking about for years, how its reach into the Asian wine market has been signifcant. It finally came out in English print some time late last year I think and on my chair at work today arrived the first three books. Being the dedicated emmployee that I am, I immediately dived into the book / Manga Smile

Despite the obvious manga style, I can see very quickly who it can be rather educational tool for new wine lovers from an Eastern culture (references are slightly different for flavours but not entirely). And within the first few pages, it already talks about something as technical as the use of a decanter.....(is suspect decanter sales have also gone up...).

It also strikes me as being very similar in tone to a series I watched about the makings of a great sushi chef from very humble beginnings but with youthful enthusiams. I will report back when I get deeper into the series (I am at work after all...) but I look forward to this. After reading four books from Vince Flynn, I was thinking everyone around me is a terrorist. This will be a good change of pace.... Smile
