Hi DRey--,
This is a question all wine drinkers pose at sometime in there discovery of wine(s). I know those headaches very well. Ouch! and I've been drinking wine for 50 years. I've asked many wine "experts", winemakers and other who have made the following recommendations. Initially keep notes on the wines you drink, most importantly, the producer, the vintage, and THE PRICE. You should soon discover similarities in wines that give you the headaches. Another thing, one prominent winemaker suggested I take an antihistamine because many wines have histamines naturally. I did this for awhile but because I preferred not to take a pill to drink wine I stopped. My suggestion, buy quality. I almost never get headaches anymore. Ask your clerk for recommendations. Good luck and welcome to this forum.
