Tasted this delicious wine for lunch a couple weeks ago and just now posting some notes on it and another Margaux Margaux I had (1998). The 1989 has reached a peak. Could it go longer? Perhaps but why try to even go there!

Sanguine (had a nice bloody component), revealed a nice perfume on the nose hidden behind the ox blood. Tannins have smoothed out nicely, very well balanced with nice acidity. If it had less Id say it were downhill and if it had more it would have been outta whack. Loved its balance and the dark fruits were alive and well. Drink now or forever hold your peace.
