Hotwine, I am kinda in your boat right now, with a cellar 1/2 full and more monthly consumption than replacement purchases.
However, I'd suggest doing some experimenting with stuff you don't usually buy. I've been biding time by experimenting a bit with stuff I hadn't really thought too much about until now. I've been scouring the bargain Spanish wines from outside of the heavyweight regions of Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Priorat. Great stuff from Yecla, etc. right now.
Also have branched out with some Portugese table reds and Greek wines recently. Always trying to experiment with something new. Really taking a fancy to Xinomavro and St. George.
Also have been trying to support the local wineries a little bit here in GA. Tried local Touriga National, Cab Franc, Viognier, Malbec, Mourvedre, and Norton wines recently.
I'm sure, getting into the spring and warmer weather, that I'll start buying a bit more. I have a grand total of 4 SW in my cellar, presently. That will have to change. Also, am out of rose wines for picnics and impromptu porch gatherings. Finally, my wife can never be satisfied with the amount of Pinot Noir on hand, so I'm sure she'll be sending me out to stock up on that soon -- it's her summer red of choice.
