The oil that is used to lubricate the compressor can become mixed with the refrigerant gases. If this happens and you start the unit, the oil that should be in the compressor ends up in the evaporator.<P>No oil in the compressor means no lubrication, and that means failure.<P>So let the unit sit, then all the juices will settle out. The refrigerant will end up where it belongs and the oil will stay in the compressor.<P>Hotwine, you said CINCHOUSE. You was USN!!??
