Recently a friend of mine moved into a house. Their was already a bar there that contained a case of wine. He doesn't drink wine, so he gave the case. I opened it up and their is 3 bottles in there. The names and years of them are:
Vintage 1968 Masi Valpolicella
Vintage 1971 Masi-Soave
Vintage 1969 Masi-Bardolino
Can anyone give me any information on this wine? Does anyone know if it tastes good, aged to long, or if it is something that I should hold onto? Any information is very much appricated. Thanks

Hi Heavy, and welcome to the Wine Board. It is very important to know if the bar was in the house or in the basement. If it was in the house which would be heated up to 70 degrees F in the winter, and soar to 90 degrees in the summer, the wine is history. If the bar was in the basement you have a fighting chance tho not much of one. Recommend opening and drinking the reds as soon as possible, having something in reserve if it is an important event. The Soave is history regardless.
