A small group of my children and friends have been recruited to attend the Weeners' 79th today. A raucous time will be had by one and all. Needless to say some juice will be consumed. WW

There once was a fellow named Verne

Who turned 79 it was learned

So he swirled and he drank

And he knelt down with thanks

"Thank God I'm not food for the worms!"

Happy Birthday Bubba...

Many thanks to youse-alls. We did kinda have a pretty good time. Made a carmelized onion omelet for breakfast and had the Weeners' " Breakfast of Champions'" drink, a nice bottle of bubbly. Met a groupf of friends and grand-son for lunch. The best cab was the 01 Mondavi Napa which most drank while CB laid waste to some Rombauer Chard. This jernt make the best pomme frites from sweet potatoes I've ever had(Yeepo the carb barrier was lowered).Came home after one glass at our local pushers and, needlessly, I opened a bottle 92 Mondave Reserve. No tasting notes but it musta' been okie-dokie as the bottle be empty this morning. CB has already started planning for the big one next year. Pool-side tent, band, caterer, the whole magella. Listening to Cassandra Wilson and Jacky Terrassons' "Rendevous" CD. Sweet, sultry, and SOFT. Perfect for this AM> WW

Tried to call a few times. No answer at either number. The party must have been really roaring.
