I just came across this web site that has a more creative approach to tasting notes than my usual barnyard, leather, cherries terms: www.winexwired.com

Here are some NZ samples.

Babich 1999 Sauvignon Blanc Malborough
Two young blondes rolling in the hay -- grassy, floral and juicy.

Babich 1999 Sauvignon Blanc Winemaker's Reserve
Dwight Yocum with sour lemon balls -- gritty and full of twang.

Brancott Vineyards 1998 "B" Sauvignon Blanc
Expensive hair highlights on Dennis Rodman -- rich, vibrant and explosive.

Brancott 1999 Chardonnay Gisborne
Enjoying a glass of lemonade in the park with an orange-yellow sunset -- lemon passion flowers, green grass and warm.

Forefathers 1999 Sauvignon Blanc
A breath of fresh air from an active volcano -- bright, earthy and intense.

Goldwater 1998 Chardonnay Roseland
The Honda Accord of chards -- nothing flashy, but well-built and dependable.

Grove Mill 1999 Sauvignon Blanc
Mrs. Dash in a thong -- floral, a bit thin and spicy.

Villa Maria 1999 Sauvignon Blanc
Cellar Selection Marlborough -
Sipping lemonade on the porch of Tara -- rich, fruity and full of lilies, jasmine and juniper.
