Was given a bottle of Premiat Pinot Noir , the best i can do to date this , is on the bottom of the bottle ,it is imprinted "79" ,this was imported by Monsieur Henri Wines . NY NY . Can anyone shed some light as to what if anything i might have here??

The 79 means nothing to you if it is actually part of the bottle. If it's printed on the label, then that's the vintage, though I doubt it. If it is a 1979 Premiat Pinot Noir, then it died somewhere around 1982. You can get the current vintage for about $3 to $6, but drink it very soon.
