My teams aren't in the running anymore (the Orioles may have been out of the running in the preseason), but I'm rooting for Arizona to end the NYC dynasty.

The BIG game this weekend though was Nebraska-Oklahoma and my alma mater won (yippee! sorry about that WW well, not really sorry) My Master's degree is from University of Michigan and the wolverines are not doing badly either. Maybe Huskers and Wolverines will both be in big bowl games.

I guess I better downplay Nebraska's win over Oklahoma--we may face them again for the Big Twelve championship.

Listen guys, I was raised in Brooklyn, and still smarting from their transgression against me when they went to LALALand. I do not care about Yankees. I also am a die-hard National Leaguer--that nonsense about designated hitting!!!!!

WW,
You're being gracious about the Husker win. You could have pleaded quarterback injuries. I was not confident about Nebraska's chances before the game and will be apprehensive if we play them again for the Big Twelve Championship. (It seems like beating the Sooners once a season should be enough!)

LESSEE DERE MISSERD......"The Yankees are one up NOW ". Unless my senses and math have both left me I think the D-Backs are ONE UP. They did manage to bloop a hit to win a game. 12 total hits in 3 games! What a powerhouse. WW

Durn fool paper, they printed big letters an numers said YANKEES 2 - D'BACKS 1. They meant last nites game, not the series. Suckered me in, apologize to ya, WW.

This has been one of the better series in a long time -- very enjoyable and hard fought. For the record I'm an Arizona fan since my mother lives there. Tied up 2-2. Love the battle!

My two favorite teams are the Mariners and whoever is playing the yankees.

Go Diamondbacks.

WW now my math is correct: Only ONE MORE to go!

May the better team win! (What a stupid cliche, of course the better team is going to win.)

It is put up or shut up time! All down to a single game. Both teams can be damned proud of this series, win or lose.

Wish I'd been able to see the entire last game. Started to watch it, but the accumulation of a long day of yard work, a couple bottles of wine and a hot bath before the game took their toll. Fell asleep in my favorite chair and missed the last half of the game.........

Great going by both teams. Congratulations to the D'Backs for the win!

A superb Game 7, and entire Series, for that matter, and a storybook ending. Congrats to the D'backs and their fans.

I had made a quick trip to the ranch in the morning... cleaned out the water trough, trimmed a big oak, mowed the grass around the house, and cut & loaded a pickup load of deadfall oak to bring home for firewood, and still got back a little after 5. Enjoyed a bottle of Falling Star with veggie lasagna, and managed to stay awake for the entire game. You're gettin' old, Mike.
