We enjoyed that one mightily, too. Just finished watching the Spurs in a squeeker over the Mavs. Shaping up as a heart-pounding play-off season.

The thing ,most of us here in the valley are most proud is that not ONE Suns player tore at their shirt or pounded their chest. A really classy bunch of TEAM players. Now we can call Steve our double-bubble MVP. WW

Go 'Canes! Nice comeback in the series against Montreal. Hope they can continue the wins against the NJ team (sorry, Georgie).
My friends Karen and Jerp (Eric) Hoiberg had a son in the NBA--Fred played for the Timberwolves most recently. He had to retire because of an aneurysm on the aorta in his heart (now has a pacemaker) but at 33 is with the Timberwolves in some other capacity. My sister sent me the write-up from the Ames, Iowa newspaper (he played high school basketball at Ames High--state championship his senior year and at Iowa State (sweet 16 I believe or maybe the round of 32). He was never the quickest man on the basketball court but he was a great 3-point shooter and his last year in the NBA held the record for percentage of 3-pointers scored (48%).

That it did! I'm not a great hockey fan...baseball's my game, but I always root for the home team. Yesterday notwithstanding, the Mets are doing GREAT for a change. Finally, we faithful Mets fans have something to cheer about! It feels good.

Another LA team bit the dust. Must say they have more class than the Lakers. WW
