So I accompanied my 75 year-old father to the hospital yesterday for an angioplasty (his 8th!). It took all day, mostly just waiting around, and he ended up having to stay overnight. Glad to say he's doing fine this morning and headed home. He should have drunk more wine!

On the same day, my wife gave her notice at work. She's been Director of Development at a youth job training agency in Brooklyn for the last year and a half. It's a great place, does wonderful work, but her boss has been difficult and she wants to go to grad school full time next semester. So she's planning to start freelancing as a grantwriter. She's very good--if anyone needs an experienced hand to write grants or advise on fundraising, I got a good recommendation for ya.

It's a bold and exciting step for her, so we're celebrating tonight. Just picked up some various bubblies to pour with abandon tonight. I'll post on any that I manage to take notes on.

Best of luck for both of you, and adding your father to our prayer list.
