Check the Rhone section soon. We had the wines this weekend sent to us by Alexandris Nicole winery in Prosser, WA.

I heard that total wine consumption in the U.S. dropped about 90% at the beginning of this month, due to some guy in Arizonee giving up the juice. I think Greenspan is planning to take action soon....

To further aggravate my condition since the 2 weeks of this diet went so well and I still have a modicum of will-power left I've decided to go 1 more week. Promise No Sniveling. WW

The question is: did you lose any weight at all???

Tonight I made a fritatta of okra and baby squash with garlic, Tabasco and basil--in butter, plus some chunk-cut potatoes deep fried in olive oil.

Had it with Prieure Saint-Hippolyte 2003 Rose; Coteaux du Languedoc; a $13
syrah/grenache marvel.

Let's see, how many calories and carbohydrates was that? hmm.

As a matter of fact since the start of this latest sabbatical and then the intrduction of the South Beach Diet I've lost a total of 30 over the 5 weeks. Want to get off another 15 although I'm feeling real GOOD rite now. Another week of phase 1 sould get another 5 and then phase 2 should do it gradually over the next 3-4 months. WW (Iff'n you drop the fried potatoes off that receipe I can eat it.snort goggle)

Why in the world would you need to lose so much weight, WW? Keep it up and you'll be in Dave Coffaro's league - though a bit shorter.

Wow! Congrats. WW! But that seems like a lot for you to lose. Maybe you should be putting on the brakes a little.

WW, I was wondering why you hadn't posted yet. That's a bunch of will power you have (and Georgie as well).

I lose weight every night--overnight. And then I find it all back by dinner time. It's quite a nice cycle...
