Sittin here six floors up on the patio havin a coffee the day after Christmas and watchin two guys mow the green down below me. It's 53 now going up to about 70. Checked the weather and it may get up to maybe 37 back home. Life is good.

Back from a visit to my sister's in Iowa and had a great time. Her grandchildren (Meredith, 5 1/2, and Ben, almost 3) were there with there parents from Connecticut and another nephew of mine was there from San Diego. The Durango nephew didn't come this year but they will be seeing him in a few weeks. The children had a lot of presents and Ben was thrilled with the remote control bumper cars I gave him. He also is good at playing Zingo (a bingo game with pictures rather than letters and numbers.) Meredith got the schoolhouse kit she wanted and had the adults line up as her students and walk to recess and the lunchroom, etc. This kindergartener loves to "teach."
