barros dao 1973 vintage

i received a bottle of barros dao colheita 1973, vinho tinto as a gift. on the neck of the bottle it has a seal of guarantee with a number on it. i have tried to find more information about this vintage without much success. can anyone out there please help me? i would also like to know if it has any value or worth opening it up and drinking? thanks.
