I was donw in Austin last October on a conference and our host selected a very nice Cabernet. I have been trying to put my hand on a bottle for a while now, kind of hoping our Canadian specialty wine stores would have it. I am sure I will not write it accuratly but here goes: Franciscan Cabernet.

As mentioned it was consumed in Austin. Can any one confirm or clarify the spelling and the rarety of this bottle?

Thanks for your help
Vincent

Vincent, welcome to the board. Wine-searcher.com shows the Franciscan Cabernet from Napa available from several vendors at a nominal price of about 20 bucks.

Fransican is a very respected winery in Napa valley that produces some middle to upper high end wines. I suspect you had the Estate Bottling and probably from the outstanding 1997 vintage. You can go to wine-searcher.com and maybe locate a source for this. Good Luck. WW
