I'd say the age range is 20's to 80's and everything in between. I'm thirtysomething.

Both the "Dan" and the "Anne" in "dananne" are 30-somethings.

Ya i dont see many people near my age into wine. Some will drink it if given the chance but dont seem to care about the experience, and usually only very fruity whites.

I would agree with your statement. At your age, I was mostly beer and an occasional mixed drink. I am now 34 and only 1-2 years into my wine exploration.

tw,

Warms me when I know someone your age is interested in wine. At 19 years old, I was the only one in the crowd who owned a corkscrew.

Hang in there.

I'm 60 and got interested in wine in my 20's while living in Germany. However, I probably wasn't that serious about wine until the last ten or twelve years.

When I was your age (a number of years ago) I was "borrowing" wine from my father's barrels. He was a grape grower and made a few barrels for his (and neighbors)enjoyment. The township was "dry" in those days--so it was illegal to make wine in wine country--you have to love "progressive" NY!

In a few weeks I'm going to be celebrating the 14th anniversary of my 29th birthday! hehe!

I started drinking wines at your age. Wine from NY that were on the sweeter side, yet they would finish dry. Then I started to explore Germany. It wasn't until I went to Italy at age of 28 that I started to understand and enjoy red wine. I went there a white wine drinker and came home a red wine drinker!

I am more a fan of red wines also. I believe it may be that i always drank darker beers like guiness which has many similar properties to red wine ive heard.
