I'm taking some bags of Susan Rice's truffle popcorn with me to DC over Labor Day weekend to give to friends and strangers at a wine tasting. Any recommendations on what wine would pair well with truffle popcorn? It has sort of a smoky mushroomy flavor.

If you go back 8 or 13 or so you'll find my favorite evening snack was the pop-c with either shaved parm/reggi or butter-truffle-oil. One of the great tasty match-ups ever made for eating/drinking/watching-calories/
enjoying a great bottle of wine. (By-The-Bye the mity Jerry Mead turned me onto this hedonistic feast.) WW

WoW, I've found the perfect match with popcorn, either with the truffle or Parm, is a sparkling wine. Obviously, it's not necessary to go all out and get anything too expensive. One I gravitate toward generally is a Gruet (from Albequerque, NM).

A great way to get rid of that oaky Chard that someone gave you.
