Hola everyone!
I want to buy a bottle of wine for my neighbor. He just moved in and he has come to my rescue five different times in the last two weeks! He is a huge wine buff (brought back 3 cases of CA wines when he moved to TX) and I am just starting to drink it (translation I know NOTHING). What would be a good bottle of wine to give as thank you? I was thinking a TX wine since he has never had it before, but I am not sure where they land in the ranking. Any help would be greatly appreciated, the sooner the better!

Thanks!!

Welcome to the board Ella.

TX wines are no match for those from CA, so don't waste your money trying to impress him with local products. Go to Spec's Liquor Warehouse downtown on Smith St. and tell a clerk what you're willing to spend on a gift for your friend and ask for advice. Be open to suggestions from France and Italy, not just CA. Spec's probably has the best selection in the state. You can check them out on their Website at specsonline.com.
