Lately I have been ordering FRENCH/ITALIAN organic wines from a middle man in San Francisco and have notice that the organics are smoother but from the taste of it , it seems like theres not as much put in to it (taste, smell, distinct flavor, etc.) Are they just less aromatic or flavorful because they lack the sulfates (perservatives) ANY COMMENTS OR PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE WOULD BE APPRECIATED
OR ANY GOOD BOTTLE CHOICES (FRENCH/ITALIAN)
REDS ARE OF TOP CHOICE --> THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT

If you go up to the top of the Wine Board, and click on "search", you can then type in the key words "organic wines." This will provide you with fourteen matches on this subject including this thread. Methinks you will find all the information you need there.

Sulfites for flavor? From where do people get these ideas?

Sulfites are for protection against oxidation--final--nothing else.

If the organic wines you refer to are not flavorful, it is likely that they are not made well.
