I am new to the wine world and konw little about the specifics. My favorite type of wine is Cabernet Sauvingno. I am looking for a good brand and flavor of wine that can be found almost everywhere and the difference between different wines like merlot or ciannti.

Welcome to the Board Martiniman. Couple of thoughts: a "good flavor" will depend on your tastes. If you like cabernet sauv., then you will find many (more than some of us would like to see) on the average grocery store shelf.

As for learning about wines in general, buy Wine for Dummies. It is very instructive & will be an excellent starting point for you.
