I'll be in Rochester NY at the end of June for a week...I'm fairly new to all this and would appreciate suggestions as to what to look for and where to look. Thanks!

Hi Wotan, and welcome to the Wine Board. I would head east a little bit on I-90, and go south on NY Route 14. Go down to Glen, stopping at wineries along the way, enjoying views of Lake Seneca. Go west to Hammondsport, and up the west side of Lake Keuka, stopping at wineries along the way. Stop also at Bully Hill, high above Lake Keuka, not for the wine, but for the food and the view. Continue north till you get back to Rochester.

Definitely don't stop for the wine at Bully Hill at Keuka Lake. Before you head over to Keuka from Seneca, make sure to stop at Glenora Winery - wonderful Rieslings and sparklers.
