basics about vino

Hi,im frm India and would like to know what kind of wine goes with what kind of food? For eg. what wine would go with fish,lamb,etc.Also if you could reccomend wines (both red and white), that would go really well with a spicy palate,since all we guys eat is spicy food!thanx

Hi Suhail, and welcome to the Wine Board. The white wines that are recommended most for spicy food including spicy fish are gewurztraminer and riesling. For heavier spicy foods including lamb most recommended a brawny shiraz/syrah or zinfandel.
