Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone. Let's not forget the guys and gals who made all this freedom possible. Let's also get those grills out and fired up. We have a great selection of burger recipes loaded up and ready to go to anyone who e-mails and asks. Be sure also to load up on Cru Beaujolais to go with them. Be it Brouilly al la Dutton, or the Moulin-a-Vent we are having; they are always a great choice with burgers.

Also haven`t seen a word about the the late, great Curmster...He the driving force behind this site and a good friend to any one who even remotely spoke, drank, or thought about the grape. Jim Wallace sent a great account of the Jerry Mead Celebration of Life Bash held last weekend in Sonoma. Hopefully with the help of a lot of the people he educated, helped, informed, and put away much Vino, Jerrys` Kids will be kept together.Raise a glass of that bugu to the Curmudgeom.Happy Holiday. Will remember the Crumster and many others in today's solumn ceremonies. Latter today at a quite dinner with mother, will also lift a toast to Jerry.

In the meantime, the kids and grandkids are packing up and heading home. The Cheddarburgers and 1998 Georges Duboeuf, Flower Label, Moulin A Vent were a big hit yesterday afternoon. Methinks that if the Board members voted, Duboeuf would be the winemaker of the year.

Well said, folks.
The colors are raised; the burgers are done; here's to absent friends, with thanks for their most generous gifts.
And most of all from me, here's to comrades of the 1st Cav Div fallen in '68 on the fields of Hue', Khe Sahn, A Shau Valley, the My Khan, Song Bo and Thon La Chu. Their memory is still strong.

Here is a salute to all fellow vets, especially those with mud on their boots. May we never forget our comrades who paid the ultimate price for freedom.
