Which Italian wine(s) most closely resemble Pinot noir from the U.S. (e.g. Oregon)?

Hi Nalpac, and welcome to the Wine Board. They do make pinot there. They call it Pinot Nero. They used to call it Pinot Negro, but you know how that goes. Have never found one, I fell in love with. Barbera d'Alba would come close. It has high acidity and lots of flesh, like an Oregoneon Pinot.
